Web Application RGB MusicLab with ”Subway Synesthesia“ by Kenji Kojima
This Web application combined desktop software "RGB MusicLab" with sound installation "Subway Synesthesia" photographs and documents. RGB Music Project is a composite artwork of visuals, music and technologies that converts visual data into a music in attempts to discover relation between visuals and musics. The project core is the development of software RGB MusicLab.
The most right side ten document icons are final data of the music. They were composed for the sound installation ”Subway Synesthesia“ in 2008. A desktop application RGB MusicLab created them. This Web page shows the original images of New York Subway Photographs which were used for algorithmic compositions of them. You can find the traces of the composition of the music. The RGB Music document data also have each color data of the notes and a three-D drawing animation (an RGB pixcel is an XYZ coordinate). However this Web application does not show the animations.
