The last part of the video goes into chaos. The artist Kenji Kojima believes that the world around him is full of chaotic information. The sensory organs construct the world by extracting only certain components from the chaos, such as visual and auditory information, like a filter. So we construct our world with the "key" of the sensory organs as if we were deciphering a code.

The world constructed as daily life:
The artwork of a song expressing concern about global warming caused by space rocket exhaust while looking up at the forest on a sunny day with subtitles in 5 languages. Artist Kojima has created many works with ecology as a theme. However, with the urgency of climate change in recent years, he felt that the modest claims of previous artworks were lacking in a way that was difficult to communicate to viewers. He felt it was necessary to add a direct message, not just a visual and audio art spectacle. This video is an addition to the message of the lyrics in popular music. Kojima, who is not a native English speaker, was able to create a poem that resembles a nursery rhyme thanks to the rapid development of LLM AI in recent years. Several songs were composed and performed by Music AI, and he separated the music and vocals and rearranged them into the song.
Greenhouse gases emitted by space vehicles have a significant impact on climate change. This is not only due to the large amounts of carbon dioxide, but also the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides which deplete the ozone layer, and the fuel released into the ocean, which is toxic to aquatic life and ecosystems. Some people think that there may be plans for humans to migrate to other planets someday, but we do not have time for that because of the disasters caused by climate change. We should use the brainpower and money from space exploration to fight climate change on Earth.
This video is available for free. One of the greatest features of digital art is that real art can be infinitely copied. Furthermore, digital art does not form the layers of the Anthropocene. Digital art destroys the material possessions of greedy usurers, reinvents the abnormal monetary commodification of art, and restores its connection to the individual viewer.

Hide: Kenji Kojima's Biography

Kenji Kojima is a digital artist. Since the early 1990s, he has been experimenting with the relationships between perception and cognition, technology, music, and visual art. He was born in Japan and moved to New York in 1980. He spent his first 10 years in New York City painting with egg tempera. The personal computer improved rapidly in the 1980s. He felt more comfortable with computer art than painting. He converted his artwork to digital in the early 1990s. He developed the computer software for his artwork. But there was a big problem, the software soon did not work on the operating system. He converted his artwork to video while it was working. His ecology-based software and video art were exhibited in New York and at media art festivals around the world. After Covid-19, he could not go out to make a video. In 2021 he started a new series called "The Musical Interpretation of Paintings". At the end of 2023, he returned to his art theme of ecology. LiveCode programmer. Kenji Kojima Resume
