Happy Holidays

How are you enjoying the holidays?
In 2025, I've been participating in media art festivals (both offline and online) in various countries around the world, almost every two months.
Visit the Wrong Biennale page and navigate to "I. Genesis - Anything But This".
"The Wrong Biennale/anything but this" Click to open this page (Until March 31, 2026).
I am also participating in another work called "Mirror Me," which includes "Mona Lisa Mirror."

In particular, the video work "Begins with Chaos - Lascaux" which begins with a chaotic state of encrypted visual data and involves binary manipulation of the ancient cave paintings at Lascaux, has been well received. It has been selected for a total of 11 media art festivals, from the Berlin Technoscience Hempelhope in July 2024 to the Ras Al Khaimah Contemporary Art Biennale in the United Arab Emirates, which begins on January 16, 2026.

The image above is "Begins with Chaos - Lascaux" an artwork featured in "The Wrong Biennale" the internet's largest media art festival, which has been running since November 1, 2025. This year's biennale is a massive, global media art festival consisting of online shows categorized into five major categories, as well as physical venues in North and South America and Europe. By clicking on the image above, you can access "The Wrong Biennale" online site for free from anywhere in the world and view my artwork, "Begins with Chaos - Lascaux." The festival runs until March 31, 2026.

Besides "Begins with Chaos - Lascaux," I have participated in media art festivals with several other projects. I would like to introduce a podcast video, "AI Art Talk Podcast: The Experiment of the Period of Great Change" which uses data from four projects I created in 2024 and 2025, fed into an AI. The AI podcast explains the concepts and direction of my art production. I believe I have found a clear direction after exploring art for many years in New York.

The original is in English. I've included a version with Japanese subtitles here. I hope you enjoy it. If the video doesn't appear. Open YouTube or This email's webpage.

"AI Art Talk" was presented at "IDKF 2025 (in-person event) in Stuttgart, Germany" and "ON SCREEN 2025 (online) by an art organization in Vienna, Austria."

I occasionally remember it and pull out the AI to play around with it. I can't find any new visuals created using AI that aren't just a collection of familiar images. The art that anyone can create with the advent of AI is becoming extremely democratized visually, resulting in 21st-century Super Popular Appropriation, like a "Hokusai's Great Wave mug." Or perhaps there's another kind of "visual" that combines low-level binary manipulation, like the piano sound added to this video.
