Algorithmic Composition "CipherTune" is an interdisciplinary art. The art work is ciphered and reversible musics of a text or an image. The project is experimenting with the relationships between perception, cognition and digital technology, cipher, visual art and music. The program encrypts a text or a photo then converts it to a twelve-tone MIDI music file, the music file can be decrypted to the original. The cipher algorithmic is strong enogh. If you like you can send your secret encoded tune by email. "CipherTune" was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Lady Vanishes".

アルゴリズム作曲「暗号音楽サイファチューン」は、インターディシプリナリー（幾つもの領域にまたがる学際的）なアートです。
作られるアートワークは、テキストとイメージの暗号化及び復号可能音楽で、 プロジェクトは知覚・認識や、デジタル技術、暗号、視覚芸術、音楽の関連を実験的に扱っています。 プログラムは文章・写真を暗号化し、それを12音階 MIDI音楽に変換します。暗号化されたMIDI音楽ファイルから元の文章・写真に復号可能です。 使用している暗号アルゴリズムは十分強力なものです。お望みでしたら秘密を隠した音楽を、Eメールで送る事もできます。「サイファチューン」は、アルフレッド・ヒッチコックの映画 「バルカン超特急 The Lady Vanishes」からヒントを得て開発しました。

Web CipherTune Concert 11 Compositions / ウェブ サイファチューン・コンサート 11作品
QuickTime-plugin of Mavericks/Win8 for the Web cannot play MIDI files. It was fixed a part of the problems by JavaScript, but does not play by an assigned instrument. Desktop version of QuickTime player does not have the problem and can play.
ウェブ版のサイファチューン・コンサートは、Mavericks/Win8用の最新QuickTimeプラグインで MIDIファイルが演奏できません。一部JavaScriptで修正しましたが、現在設定した楽器で演奏されません。デスクトップ版のQuickTimeでは問題なく演奏できます。

Encryption / 暗号

• Using cipher name is blowfish 256 bits.
• Encrypted MIDI music file can be decrypted by compatible MacOS and Windows.
• All Unicode text format languages can be encrypted.
• Supported image formats are JPEG and PING. Recommend JPEG for faster processing.
• You cannot save a Unicode MIDI file name. Use alphabet and numbers. MIDI file must have ".mid" extension.
• You cannot save a Unicode encrypted text file name. Use alphabet and numbers. MIDI file must have ".txt" extension.
• A password must be 6 and over characters, and case-sensitive(CipherTune recognizes capital or lowercase letters).
• A large photo and/or PING file take longer processing, under 280(W) x 280(H) pixels is a reasonable size.
   However you can make an encrypted tune of any sizes of images.
• When you are processing CipherTune in the last some seconds, another application is active, you may lose the processing data.

• 使用している暗号はブロウフィッシュ256ビットです。
• 作成した暗号MIDIファイルは、MacOS またはWindows 互換で復号します。
• 暗号化できるテキストは、ユニコードが扱える全ての言語に対応します。
• イメージ・ファイルは、JPEGとPINGが使用できます。処理スペードからJPEGを推奨します。
• MIDIファイルは日本語名で保存できません、アルファベットと数字を使って最後に「.mid」の拡張子を付けけてください。
• 暗号化テキストは日本語名で保存できません、アルファベットと数字を使って最後に「.txt」の拡張子を付けけてください。
• パスワードは６文字以上、大文字小文字を識別します。
• 大きなサイズの写真、またPINGファイルの処理には時間がかかります。
 　 280(W)x280(H)ピクセル以下のサイズが望ましいですが、どんな大きさでも可能です。
• サイファチューンを処理中、最後の数秒間に他のアプリケーションをアクティブにすると、処理中のデータを喪失する事があります。
